At first, it has never
been my thing to roll with High scholars. I could always resist developing
feelings towards them with all that I could. But in my sophomore year on
Campus, It was on a long holiday, and just as the normal campus guy, long
holidays were meant for hustles and money chasing so to say. I being among the
guys to watch in my area, I made sure my reputation was clean and I could not
allow anyone to stain it. I always made sure those in my circle also had a
clean name in my area. But on one Friday, I decided to check on a ‘bro’ (friend
though) who was a mason to beat tedium since I wasn’t busy that day. I
contacted him so that he can direct me to where he was. On reaching where he
was, I saw a medium stature curvy girl who was new to me. I could not resist
setting my eyes on her as she was in a towel coming out of the bathroom. I
couldn’t tell whether it was love at first sight or maybe I liked her the
moment I saw her. With my little journalism interviewing skills, I tried to dig
deeper from them about this lady but all they could give me was just her name.
Her name was Aggy Ndinda. I did whatever I could so that I can know more about
her. I didn’t care to know whether she was learning or whether she had finished
her high school course. I became so ‘crazy’ about her that I could just take my
bike and ride around their area and see whether I will be the lucky guy and
meet her. I was so crazy about her that I started searching for even a friend
who knows her friends as if flirting with a crush was easy but little did I
know it was not a walk in the park. I kept on riding my bike around their area
for some days without any success in meeting her 💔. It was heartbreaking but giving up was not my
thing though 😂. I still had some fears
because you cannot tell someone’s personality by just looking at her. But for
her, she had that innocent look which motivated me.
After much determination of looking for someone who knows her better, I met her
neighbor who told me more about her, and luckily or maybe unluckily she only
told me what was fit for my ears. All was going fine until I met her again.
This time I did not enjoy looking at her. She was in a blue uniform and she was
now going back to school. It was heartbreaking though. I was in denial for some
time that I didn’t have a crush on her but even the sky could tell I was weak
whenever I saw her 😩. Her neighbor later
told me she was in form three and the blow was too hard for my feelings though.
I got bored away but I could motivate myself that the following year she will
be out of school and join me in this crazy world. Opportunism guided me and I
kept on motivating myself never to give up.
My long holiday was then
over after a few weeks after now ‘My crush in denial’ left for school and also
I had to travel back to Mombasa now as the third year. Being in denial became
part of me as far as Aggy was concerned. Admitting that I’m crushing on a high school
was a bitter pill for me but for me to feel better I had to swallow it and act
accordingly. I had no choice left but to swallow my little pride and admit this
girl (Aggy) was really driving me crazy but I could not allow anyone including
her to know about it. As time went by, she was done with her high school academics
and now I had all the chances in the world to shoot my shot but this was the toughest part of it. Shooting my shot to my crush was one of the hardest tasks I have ever take or done in my life. But every time I met her I could not resist eyeing her until she discovered it.
